Stress And Time Management

Files under Stay Stress Free | 1 Comment

Stress and time management sometimes just seem to go together. Do you ever feel like you are stuck in a rut and just can’t get out? No matter how hard you try to accomplish your daily chores there always seems to be more to do. Or sometimes there may be so much to do that you just don’t know where to start and so you put it off and keep putting it off until the situation gets worse.

This can happen to any of us and the main cause is bad time management skills. When you get stuck in a situation like that and you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel it can become very stressful and very tiring.

Every new day starts off stressfully because the first thing you think about is everything that you need to get done but you don’t think you will be able to achieve much of anything.

Learning time management skills is not hard and once you have learned them you will be a lot less stressed. So let’s have a look at some time management tips that will help separate stress and time management from each other:

Know that it’s ok to say “NO”. So many people agree to everything that anyone asks them because they just don’t like saying no. However, by saying yes to everyone you will possibly end up taking on too much and not having enough time to complete your own tasks. So don’t be afraid to say no, you will be surprised at how understanding most people actually are.

Write down a list of your chores each day listing in order of priority. Don’t be unrealistic with your list or you will only disappoint yourself when you don’t achieve everything on it. Try to stick to your list and cross off tasks as you do them.

Stay organized. You’ll be surprised at how much more you will get accomplished each day if you stay organised. Keep everything organized in drawers or cupboards and avoid clutter. Spending all your time in a place full of clutter can be very tiring and stressful and it is almost impossible to be able to relax.

Know your limitations. Don’t take on more than you can realistically handle. This is a big problem with many people. They just try to do too much at once. Avoid putting yourself in a position that you know will cause you stress.

Try to stay cool, calm and collected throughout your day and learn to use good time management techniques. Your life will have much less stress and will be much more effective and enjoyable.

Internet Marketing Time Management Is Important For Your Online Success

Internet marketing time management skills are an important tool in your online marketing arsenal. This is because with internet marketing you are your own boss and have no-one to answer to but yourself.

Bad time management skills and procrastination are often the cause of a lack of success for internet marketers.

Many people that attempt internet marketing tend to spend too much time researching and looking for ways to make money online. They will often start one project after another, never sticking to one system long enough to give it a chance to develop into a money-maker. This is a recipe for failure as most of your day is spent jumping from one new idea to the next or from one new ebook to the next looking for that magic bullet rather than buckling down and doing the work.

The basis of internet marketing is to have a product, either your own or an affiliate product, and promote it to earn commissions. If you set yourself some goals and create a to-do list you will be more likely to be successful.

  1. The first thing you need to do is choose a niche and then either find an affiliate product or create your own product to fit that niche. When creating your plan, give yourself a certain amount of time to do the research and then move on to finding or creating a product. Don’t stay stuck in research mode! It can often be intimidating to begin selling but you will never get anywhere if you become paralyzed by over-analyzing everything.
  2. Once you have your product you will need to decide how you are going to promote it. Will you use a blog, a website, bum-marketing only, etc. Decide on which method you will use to promote your offer and then move on to promotional strategies.
  3. Decide on the different promotional methods you will use to get started. Write out and follow a plan of action on how you will do this. For example, a) create a blog, b) publish one post a day, c) write ten articles and submit to directories, d) use social directories to create traffic, etc. Be careful not to get side-tracked during this phase.

That’s the very basics of marketing online. There’s more involved but essentially, that’s it. If you find a plan that works consistently, just rinse and repeat the steps with another niche and you’ll soon be on your way to becoming a successful online marketer.

As a part-time internet marketer I often suffer from bouts of procrastination and can get caught up in the “make $10,000 a minute” money and time wasters that abound on the web. It was not until I started using internet marketing time management skills that I am finally getting somewhere and seeing some real results. Keep yourself on track and you’ll find you can become successful online as well!
